The Counter-Revolution in 2010

November 24, 2009 | america, obama

Ladies and Gentlemen, we are in a crises situation. Some people could say we are in the midst of a revolution. Cal Thomas wrote:

Not all revolutions begin in the streets with tanks and guns. Some advance slowly, almost imperceptibly, until a nation is transformed and the public realizes too late that their freedoms are gone.

Such is the revolution now taking place in America. The ’60s crowd has emerged from the ideological grave and is about to impose on this country a declaration of dependence in the form of government-run health insurance and treatment. It matters not what facts are known about this “coup,” because to those from the ’60s — whether they lived in that decade or were born later and adopted its ideology — only feelings and intentions matter, not truth and results.

Many of my friends have suggested, as such, and I have had discussions, more and more about whether civil war is possible in this country. I have dismisssed all of these suggestions as extreme; our political institutions are still strong and, despite the fact that our government shows more and more evidence of incompetence, the structure is still there, and we simply have to ride out this administration…perhaps until the end of 2010, when the interim elections probably will change the center of power in Washington; with the President’s Rasmussen approval rating at -15% and his policies widely unpopular, that is a very likely possibility.

However, (and I know you knew there was a ‘but’ coming there),  in September of last year, American Thinker published Barack Obama and the Strategy of Manufactured Crisis. Part of a series, it connected then presidential candidate Barack Obama to individuals and organizations practicing a malevolent strategy for sabotaging our society. Since then the story of that strategy has found its way across the blogosphere, onto the airwaves of radio stations across the country, the Glenn Beck television show, Bill O’Reilly and now Mark Levin.

The methodology is know as the ‘Cloward Piven’ strategy of manufactured crises. According to Discover the Networks.org:

Rather than placating the poor with government hand-outs, wrote Cloward and Piven, activists should work to sabotage and destroy the welfare system; the collapse of the welfare state would ignite a political and financial crisis that would rock the nation… [Emphasis added.]

So, This time, in addition to overwhelming the government with demands for services, Obama and the Democrats are overwhelming political opposition to their plans with a flood of apocalyptic legislation. Their ultimate goal is to leave us so discouraged, demoralized and exhausted that we throw our hands up in defeat. As Barney Frank said “the middle class will be too distracted to fight.”

It is time to acknowledge that these people are our enemies. They don’t use guns, yet, but they are just as dangerous, determined and duplicitous as the communists we faced in the Cold War, Korea, Vietnam and bush wars across the globe, and the Nazis we faced in World War II. It is high time we overcome the denial, and fully digest and internalize this fact, with all its ugly ramifications.

Last month, Attorney General Holder announced that the trials of the terrorist who masterminded the destruction of the World Trade Centers, on 9/11/2001, would be held in New York City by a Federal court, instead of by a military commission. This decision was widely criticized, on both sides of the aisle, because the terrorists were NOT civil criminals, they were military criminals. It is expected that such a trial would, 1) result in the terrorists being released, since they did not have benefit of council during their interrogation, and 2) Would result in a show trial, with the terrorists using the forum to denounce America and its foreign policy.

As it turns out, the latter point is already unfolding. The lawyers for the 9/11 terrorists intend to plead not-guilty, and intend to use the trial to focus on American foreign policy. This, of course, becomes obviously what the entire trial was about…a manufactured crises designed to confuse and further demoralize the American people, since this strategy was thought out six months ahead of time.

I am becoming more and more convinced that we are headed for a crises, one manufactured by someone to demoralize and bring down this country. We can, no longer, sit back and let this process develop. Citizens must become actige in a counter-revolution against the forces arrayed against us in Washington, the incompetent leadership of the Democratic Party, which goes along with the agenda, and whoever is calling the shots behind the President.

Fortunately, this process is happening. Beginning as early as February, citizens began speaking up. David Hogberg at Investor’s Business Daily has a nice piece out spotlighting the growing taxpayer revolt the rest of the MSM won’t cover. He interviewed our registered commenters Liberty Belle Keli Carender, who spearheaded the Seattle anti-pork protest, and HuskerGirl Amanda Grosserode, who organized today’s anti-stimulus demonstration against Democrat Rep. Dennis Moore in Overland Park, KS.

During the year there were, literaly, thousands of small to medium large protests around the country, culminating in a massive protest in Washington, D.C., where close to a million people marched against the President’s economic policy of spending money we didn’t have, and his ‘Obamascare’ health care bill which will BEGIN by costing 850 million dollars, and whose costs will be expected to rise into the trillions within five years.

In 2010, the pressure increases. Fox News host Glenn Beck is planning a nationwide tour to develop a program of ‘community organizing’ to get people involved in organizing their local communities against the administration’s policies. The Fox News host announced on his website this weekend that he’ll soon hold a series of conventions to teach people “how to be a political force in your own neighborhood and country.” Beck’s also working to develop “a 100 year plan” to defeat “the bipartisan corruption in Washington.”

The ‘Tea Party’ movement has bigger plans. On April 15, 2010, Tea Party is training for massive demonstrations across the country. Plans are in the works for demonstrations  leading up to the 2010 elections in November.

Where will all this lead? There is a saying that, in order to solve a problem, you must recognize what the problem is. To date, the President is still popular, but his job approval ratings are dropping steadily. IF the trend continues, he will have little clout, next year. However, does it matter? There is a possibility that the health care bill can still be passed by December, his trillion dollar ‘stimulus’ package has still taken us so deep in debt that our grandchildren will be paying off the debt, and the debt is held by the Chinese, one of our strongest enemies. The President will still be commander in chief of the armies, and we will not change over Congress until the end of 2010. There is still a lot of room for mischief in Washington.

That is why we must ALL get off our kiesters and get into the streets…because there is a segment of our population who is not content to let the political process work itself out. As the unemployment rate continues to raise (some projections are that we will have 25% unemployment early next year; the real rate is up to 17.5% as of November, 2010. It is going to be a long, desperate winter, for many, and desperate people use desperate means…which could very well mean civil violence as winter ends, and people can hit the streets, early Spring. It becomes a question of which force takes hold, those working within the system, or those working to undermine the system by creating the biggest level of destruction.

I have faith in the American people, and believe the vast majority of the people have faith in the system. I believe we will get this done and come out of it stronger. There will be hard times, however, until then, and we must all be involved, and working to preserve our Democracy. We are the hope of the world. If the U.S. goes down, there is little to keep the rest of the world going in the direction of Democracy and freedom for all. Tyranny awaits us at the other end of this road. Can we face it, head on, and beat it? We shall have to wait and see.
